Abortion is the single greatest crime in American History. As of August 2011 there have been over 50 MILLION babies murdered under the guise of abortion since Roe v Wade made it legal for a mother to kill her unborn child in 1973! Over 1.2 million babies are killed by their very own mothers every year, which amounts to more than 3,322 babies aborted PER DAY! Can you imagine? That is more lost human beings than were claimed in any war we’ve ever fought, that’s more human beings than were slaughtered in the holocaust!
According to Planned Parenthood, the leader of the abortion industry, “abortions are very common. In fact, more than 1 out of 3 women in the U.S. have an abortion by the time they are 45 years old.” 1 out of 3? That’s an atrocity!!
Many people don’t know the realities of abortion, they’ve been taught that life hasn’t begun, that it’s just a blob of tissue. They’ve been taught, literally barraged with mis-information so that they finally believe abortion is harmless. There are 6 different methods of abortion used in the United States, each of them barbaric in nature …
RU-486, the abortion pill:
RU-486 is a chemical (rather than a surgical) abortion, performed up to 49 days gestation. RU-486 requires at least three visits to the doctor’s office or clinic.
At the first visit, the mother is given a physical exam and is administered mifepristone (the active abortion drug). The abortion pill blocks the action of progesterone, the natural hormone vital to maintaining the lining of the uterus. The baby starves as the nutrient lining disintegrates.
At a second visit, 36-48 hours later, the woman is giving a dose of artificial prostaglandins, usually misoprostol, which initiate uterine contractions and usually cause the baby to be expelled from the uterus. Most women abort during the mandatory four hour waiting period, but about 30% abort as many as five days later—at home, work, etc.
A third visit about 2 weeks later determines whether the abortion has occurred or if a surgical abortion is necessary to complete the procedure.
Planned Parenthood makes it known that if the abortion pill fails, you must commit to a surgical procedure (more $$) — they warn, ”Some of the medicines used in medication abortion may cause serious birth defects if the pregnancy continues. So, in the unlikely case that it doesn’t work, you will need to have an aspiration abortion to end the pregnancy.”
“Nationwide, the cost ranges from $300 to $800. Costs may be more or less, depending on whatever additional tests, visits, or exams are needed.” – Planned Parenthood website
Mifepristone is not a harmless drug, as any loyal PP employee will try to convince you. Mifepristone can cause serious or threatening vaginal bleeding. A small number of patients died due to infections that they developed after they used mifepristone and misoprostol to end their pregnancies. The scariest part about this is if you develop a serious infection, you may not have any symptoms and if you do present with symptoms they may not be very severe.
Suction Aspiration:
Suction aspiration, the most common first trimester abortion method, is typically performed when the baby is 6-12 weeks, but can be used up to 16 weeks. The mother will lie on her back with her feet in stirrups and a speculum is inserted to open the vagina. The cervix is dilated and a powerful suction tube with a sharp cutting edge is inserted into the womb through the dilated cervix. An aspirator attached to the tube tears the body of the developing baby apart suctions the pieces through the tube into a collection bottle. All the parts will then be sold.
“Nationwide, the cost at health centers ranges from about $300 to $950 for abortion in the first trimester. The cost is usually more for a second-trimester abortion. Costs vary depending on how long you’ve been pregnant and where you go. Hospitals generally cost more.” – Planned Parenthood Website
Great care must be taken to prevent the uterus from being punctured during this procedure, which may cause hemorrhage and necessitate further surgery or cause death. Some women have reported they have been rendered infertile due to a past suction aspiration abortion.
D&C (Dilation and Curettage):
A suction/D & C abortion is performed when the baby is 6-12 weeks. The abortionist begins by dilating the mom’s cervix until it is large enough to allow a cannula (a hollow plastic tube attached to a vacuum type pump) to be inserted into her uterus. The cervix is opened using an osmotic dilator . Then a curette (a thin metal rod with a knife-sharp loop at the end) is inserted into the uterus. The curette is used to dismember the fetus. The abortionist runs the tip of the cannula along the surface of the uterus causing the baby to be dislodged and sucked into the tube – either whole or in pieces. If the mother chooses to be awake during the abortion, she will experience moderate to severe cramping and abdominal pain and a strong tugging sensation as the curette scrapes against the uterus.
The most horrific aspect of this method is that sometimes the baby is not sucked out and the abortionist must go in with forceps to forcibly remove the baby — the baby is still alive at this point! According to Abortionist Martin Haskell, ”Well, when we do a suction curettage abortion, you know, roughly one of three things is going to happen during the abortion. One would be is that the catheter as it approaches the fetus, you know, tears it and kills it at that instant inside the uterus. The second would be that the fetus is small enough and the catheter is large enough that the fetus passes through the catheter and either dies in transit as it’s passing through the catheter or dies in the suction bottle after it’s actually all the way out.”

WARNINGS: Heavy bleeding may occur and require a repeat abortion, surgery and/or a transfusion. A cut or torn cervix can occur, this may lead to a weakened cervix, making carrying a baby to term impossible. Cervical damage may occur also leading to a weakened cervix and future successful pregnancy’s difficult. The uterus may be perforated, causing heavy bleeding and/or infection and a possible hysterectomy. Scarring of the uterus may occur, resulting in “Asherman’s Syndrome.” This may cause fertility problems in the future. And of course, emotional or psychological distress is common after an abortion, including, but not limited to depression, guilt, regret, anger, sleep problems and suicide.
Dilation and Evacuation (D&E):
A common 2nd trimester abortion, the D&E is where the baby is cut up, dismembered, by forceps. It is typically a 2-3 day procedure because at this stage of pregnancy, the baby’s’ tendons, muscles, and bones are more developed and an abortion is a more difficult and risky procedure and dilation can take 1-2 days depending on the size of the baby.
Once the cervix is sufficiently dilated, forceps are inserted into the uterus to forcibly dismember the baby. The skull is then crushed and removed. A suction aspiration is then introduced to remove any remaining baby parts, the placenta and uterine lining. There is no denying the violence, abortionists and their staff alike have reported being particularly troubled by this procedure.

Partial Birth Abortions (D&X):
This procedure is used to abort women who are 20 to 32 weeks pregnant — or even later into pregnancy. Keep in mind that often babies born at 24 weeks survive, and this procedure ends this possibility. Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist reaches into the uterus, grabs the unborn baby’s leg with forceps, and pulls the baby into the birth canal, except for the head, which is deliberately kept just inside the womb. (At this point in a partial-birth abortion, the baby is alive.) Then the abortionist jams scissors into the back of the baby’s skull and spreads the tips of the scissors apart to enlarge the wound. After removing the scissors, a suction catheter is inserted into the skull and the baby’s brains are sucked out. The collapsed head is then removed from the uterus.
WARNINGS: In addition to all the other possibilities, severe psychological damage is a real side effect of this procedure. Thank God Pres Bush signed the Partial Birth Abortion Ban, but now we all sit idly by while thousands of babies continue to die in this grisly manner while the bill is pushed through the courts.
What happens to the aborted babies? Aborted babies are often dumped into plastic bags for disposal in the trash or sold by the bag for fetal transplant and experimentation. Some are run through a garbage disposal. Live fetuses have been subjected to grisly experiments–bodies have been dissected, chests sliced open to observe heart action, heads cut off for bizarre purposes. Babies have been conceived and aborted for the unproved purpose of using their cells to treat adults with diabetes, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. (John Wilke,Abortion Questions & Answers Cincinnati: Hayes Publishing Co., 1988 Chapter 25; Randy Alcorn, ProLife Answers to ProChoice ArgumentsPortland: Multinomah Press, 1992. p188.)
Does the baby feel pain during an abortion? ”As early as 8-10 weeks gestation, and definitely by thirteen and a half weeks, the human fetus experiences pain.” (V. Collins, MD and Diplomatic and Fellow, American Board of Anesthesiologists.) Dr. Collins was one of 26 doctors from around the country, including pain specialists and two past presidents of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, who sent a letter in 1984 to Ronald Reagan saying: “Mr. President, in drawing attention to the capability of the human fetus to feel pain, you stand on firmly established ground.” (Wilke, p.64 and 69).
