Here at Pro-Life Works our mission is to develop a true and lasting understanding of the sanctity of all human life – unborn, handicapped, the terminally ill, and the aged. There is not one of us who is so Godly as to be in the position of choosing life or death. Who are you to decide whose life is worth living and whose is not? Who are you to say that the life of a 20 year old holds more value than that of our 90 year old grandmother? Or that the life of a 28 year old Quarterback is more worthy than that of a 38 year old handicapped Gulf War Veteran? We are commanded by the Gospel to create a “Culture of Life” in our families, schools, parishes, communities and the world. “Through moral conscience God speaks to each of us, inviting us to defend human life at all times, and in this personal bond with the Creator lies the profound dignity of moral conscience and the reason for its inviolability,” said Pope Benedict. “It is necessary that society as a whole must defend the conceived child’s right to life and the true good of the woman who can never, in any circumstances, find fulfillment in the decision to abort.” Only by living out the Gospel of Life, and teaching it, can we hope to accomplish this awesome task.
